Y'all, what the fuck is this?

Top-down view of a weird little cocoon anchored to the top of a small three-leafed plant I don't know the name of. The cocoon is a tight little bundle of dried pine needles wrapped cylindrically around *something*.

A side view of the thing. The dried pine needles were clearly chewed or broken to get them into manageable lengths by whatever critter is down inside them. The whole thing is roughly an inch tall.

Another side view, where the sense of scale is a little more apparent and the construction is a little more visible. There appears to be insect silk involved? It's not easy to really say.

@infernusgoatus looks like some sort of bagworm moth, they’re known for building their cocoons out of plant matter like that
