joined a local group thinking I'd be able to meet people, and already:

"I'm going to ask that you don't use the group to organize tabletop-centered meetups (board games are okay)" and "if you talk about politics you will be banned"

the latter in response to someone reccing Zinn's A People's History of the United States.
