Which webcomic update schedule appeals to you more? Small regular updates once a week or more, large regular updates every month or two, or daily/triweekly updates punctuated by long periods of inactivity?

@mrencyclopedia i follow via rss so i’m not hugely fussed about update frequency but i think what works best does depend a bit on the format?

eg. for comics with continuity, its nice to get the next update close enough after the last one that i more or less remember what happened there which leans towards option one.

but for artists who are say, putting out a variery of shorter form stuff (a story which is a ten page comic, and then a bunch of unrelated single page stuff, and then a story which is 20 pages) it makes more sense to go for options 2 or 3 which are now pretty much interchangeable for me personally (eg. either drop the whole 10 page comic at once, or post a page a day every day until your 10 page comic is done and then go back to not updating)
