okay so I'm in charge of my choir's website and it is hosted/running on Wix. it's way more than we need, and quite expensive, but it's good for programming-phobics. and also an Israeli company. which isn't bad on its own, but could have ethical implications that we've been trying to navigate as a choir.

I'm thinking of moving it over to WordPress plus a decent host, but I also have zero experience there. the choir doesn't want to go html-only because of the bus factor. but from what I can tell it would be much cheaper and potentially less of an ethical thing (no ethical consumption under capitalism aside) to use WordPress. I'd have to pick a good host.

I guess, any suggestions?
