Dear artists, please help me out:
When selling art, how much is too little to ask for a small (postcard size or smaller) original drawing or painting?

I'm a hobbyist who'd like to try to offset the cost of supplies, not someone trying to get a career, but I remember seeing a lot of posts over the years telling folks to not undervalue their art, and (imo more importantly) not to ruin stuff for people trying to make a living by driving down prices...

@Anke in addition to the cost of supplies, say rather than focus on size, i’d consider how long it took you to make any particular thing. Like, in your case its a hobby so you don’t necessarily need to care about a living wage sure, but if you’re consistently selling your stuff at what would be below the minimum wage for the time it took you to make it then obviously thats too low?
