Do people eat jalapeños in the UK? Or is this gentleman I'm watching just really unfamiliar with the name? He's pronouncing it like jalopy-noes, which makes me wonder whether there's a different pepper that usually fills the role of hot, green pepper that pickles well.

@pamela my experience with UK food is that they have a very minimal concept of a hot green pepper that pickles well, but if they did they’d use the bastardized version of whatever it’s called in Indian cooking to refer to it
