Paying 15 USD to change a random Dreamwidth community of mine with old imported LiveJournal stuff to “bluenotebooks” (blue notebooks - music reference!) and then a few minutes later paying another 15 USD to change it to “thebluenotebooks” (the blue notebooks) because I already have “theblueintheday” (the blue in the day - my fannish bindery name).
You’d think I would have thought that through better. 🙃
I have another community with a name to change but I’m going to sit long and well until I know what I’m doing.
Okay, never mind, I now also have “thebluehours” (the blue hours - reference to “the blue hour” and “blue hours”) and “theblueofdistance” (the blue of distance).
Now I also have no more random communities, except for “k-pop” which I finally gave up on deleting and purging so someone else could use the name, except it seems like if I just rename it with no redirecting then anyone can use it? (unlike LiveJournal where you had to pay I think?)
Does anyone need a “k-pop” Dreamwidth community?
@bluedreaming paradisediner or kpop_fic are probably your best bet if you’re looking to find someone interested in taking custody of the name
@bluedreaming yeah i doubt the comm itself will want to rename, but if anyones thinking of starting a sister comm, thats where they’d be

@Satsuma that’s a good point! I’d talked to paradisediner back when I was trying to delete and purge the community, and the name has I think become more memorable as the paradisediner community has persisted, but there’s no reason not to ask again 👍
