if someone you're dating breaks up with someone they're dating, is that person your ex-metamour, or your meta-ex?

@rabbithearth if you find out an actual answer to this, I would love to know it!

@twistylittlepassages i feel like: if you break up with someone, all of their partners become *your* ex-metamours (they used to be your metamours, now they are your ex-metamours), but the ex of someone you're dating is your meta-ex, in the same way that their partners are your metamours?

@twistylittlepassages @rabbithearth i feel like ex-metamour is slightly easier to parse, since meta on its own can have a variety of meanings?

but yeah definitely both of them have valid relationship logic so part of it’s just what aspect you want to focus on I guess
