food

It's my emotional support heavily discounted megapack of Kraft dinner but I will share :grrnoble:

re: food

You know, if you haven't had it for awhile, Kraft dinner isn't the same food nightmare it used to be. It's preservative free now (well, stabilized with the same phosphate salts as in all powdered cheeses) and the coloring is food-derived now, and the sodium is down to a dull roar.

I mean it's still ultimately just enriched pasta and powdered cheese being fed to kids and not a balanced meal on its own, but it's been de-1980s'd pretty effectively.

re: food

@pamela my mum always threw some frozen peas in with the pasta (or encouraged us to if we were making mac & cheese) which did make it feel more like actual dinner at least

re: food

@pamela @gnomon well these days I’m more of a “put all the things in ramen” person than mac & cheese but I’m still definitely in favor of the concept in principle so I’ll argue you just have good taste rather than specifically my mothers 😆
