Looking at the power corp's outage map, I'm very surprised that we still have power, but I'm not complaining. (Or expecting it to last.)

Have consumed tea and banana bread and am now doing a quick catchup here while I can do so without draining my phone battery. Will our luck extend to both of us fitting showers in while there's power?

I'm not planning on a new phone anytime soon, but it's infuriating that when I do, it'll almost certainly be due to this one's worsening battery life.

Both floofs seem really quite chill about the windiness happening outside (yay!), but Sinha is unnerved and twitchy. Poor little dragon.

(Power: still on. I got my hair washed, and we're going to gamble on making something quick but warm for lunch while the hot water tank warms back up.)

As established, there's a hurricane. We miraculously/inexplicably still have power (for now)!

Us: *sensibly eat hot lunch and watch One Piece*

Wall-sharing neighbor: *breaks out the...hammer-drill?*

Four hours ago, I said, "Want to put on the next One Piece episode [5 of 8] and see how far we get before the inevitable power outage?"

So we did.

We've now finished the first season and somehow still have power? O_o It did gutter out for a minute a couple hours ago, but came right back.

(Several more hours of worryingly high winds to go, though.)

Somehow we *still* have power...? It's appreciated but mystifying. There're still more windy hours to go, but I'm calling it a night now and am cautiously hopeful.

(Over half of my astonishment is due not to the storm but to our rickety power grid, which somehow just keeps being awful despite the power corp bleeding everyone for every cent it can get.)

@Satsuma We woke up to power! The amazing trend continues!
