Talk of moderating unsolicited NSFW content being posted on Reddit, but not the actual content
This week's adventures in Reddit moderation...
A person trying to sell used underwear via my fandom subreddit.
One mod removed the post while I was offline after it was swiftly reported by regular members.
Then the following morning I checked alerts I had missed and went and permanently banned the poster.
They then waltzed into modmail pissed that I'd done that.

Demanded why the ban.
I said they'd broken our posting rules.
They then demanded to know which.
To which I replied and pointed out the rules and that while we allow NSFW content, in the context of that the subreddit is about it was inappropriate. So rather than putting our members at continued risk: perma ban.
I didn't give them further chances to ping the modmail and muted them for 28 days.
