Platform exhaustion.
Trying to keep up with friends in half a dozen places, and deciding where to post what just isn't sustainable for me. The past couple of days I've ended up hardly talking to my pocket friends at all, and that doesn't feel right either. But when there are so many places... And many friends are in more than one place with me and I don't want to spam people but...!
Anyway, fuck Elon Musk. This is all his fault and he sucks.
Ranking my posting experience:
1. Mastodon. 500 characters, ability to do spoiler cuts & content labels, free edits & ppl like my pics!
2. Twitter. Still have lots of friends active there and nowhere else.
3. Bluesky. Still awkward; ppl there are elsewhere too - where should I respond??
4. Dreamwidth. Interface sucks on mobile, posting photos is a pain.
5. Cohost. Tl has been a ghost town & comments nonexistent, but the interface is good?
6. Instagram. POS interface; app just getting worse.

@naye i’m glad you’re enjoying mastodon! it’s been nice having more of my fandom circle around fedi this last year or so—it was still a nice place when i joined back in 2017 but the fannish side of things was so *quiet*
i feel you on the multi account struggle though—here, discord, and DW is just about all i can manage

@Satsuma @naye if all the new places would just federate it wouldn't matter where everyone scattered to
Ahh, a girl can dream.
