Why would you be irritated that a highly qualified expert is teaching children?
Wouldn't that be a good thing??
Personally I love we have so many PhDs at my school because the kids are getting a good education from people who are experts in their field And good teachers
But if you want people who can't teach rigorous research methods n don't have a deep content knowledge then...ok I guess

@Cyborgneticz i think there are some real convos to be had about what kinds of education is most helpful to prospective teachers but to say you shouldn’t have it at all is just ludicrous
