Heh I lost a subscriber with my first new chapter after adding the #EndOTWRacism stuff to my story.
Oh well. If that offends them so much, it's no loss.
@varve oof yeah its sad to loose a reader & a shame they’re so close minded but also yeah, better to have them gone now than latter
@Satsuma mine seems to be the only story in that fandom that's participating. Unless there are others who are in the stuff I exclude in my search (non-con, reader insert, etc)
@varve ah thats disappointing—though hopefully maybe there are some other folks who just didn’t know about it yet?
mine have been kind of uneven—Guardian has a lot of people who are participating, except also there’s an exchange that just ended during the campaign and clearly no one was comfortable putting notices on their gift fics. which I do get! but also means any fics participating were pretty firmly buried

It's definitely possible that they hadn't heard of the campaign. I wouldn't have, if you hadn't told me. So I can hope that another couple of stories get updated in the next few days. Or I can lose more subscribers. (Down 1 more overnight. Oh well.)
It's funny how there's a strong contingent of fans who think a certain group in the story was treated unacceptably with fantasy racism. I wonder if there's overlap or not, with the 2 subscribers I lost. I mean probably there are people who think it was fine to treat that group badly because they were shown as antagonists in the show.
