whinging about pain, no injury
Upped my handstand workout this week. Today my hands absolutely hate me and I'm exhausted. Even typing is hard.
Side note, a great piece of cross-training to handstands? Deep squats.
I can hands-free stand up from being seated on the ground. I'm not exactly sure when I picked this skill up, but every time I've had an injury or a whinge with my hands, I've appreciated it.

@SocialGaff a very different context, but one of the things my mother does is fall recovery training for seniors, where the central adage is basically ‘the more different ways you can get up off the ground the safer you are’
she’ll be amused to hear the same advice holds true for handstands!

I would be interested in seeing a "ways to get up" list if it exists.
whinging about pain, no injury
@RussSharek @SocialGaff i will text her and ask if such a thing exists!
if you want to make up some of your own ways in the meanwhile, try going through and pretending you can’t use each limb one at a time and figuring out the most comfortable way to get from lying down to standing

@RussSharek @naugeleh @SocialGaff that sounds like a fun act!

Maybe so, or series of PSAs.
