Is there ways that blogging or texts could somehow use fediverse? Like other than sharing a link on Mastodon? I wanna work more on my blog, make pages weirder, each page bespoke html/css. Is there any way to integrate activity pub into websites that makes sense?

Also, and for example, my last post with @jeremyc .. organic-plastics.net/posts/202

@plastics there have been a few attempts at this; probably the most practical at the moment is the activitypub plugin for WordPress, though you'll need to host it yourself

@clayote practically speaking how would that look like? Like in what sense does it 'integrate' with the fediverse? (Sorry this is all still new to me)

@plastics Basically your wordpress account looks just like a mastodon account, from masto's end, and its posts just run long, I think? Hardly any of the formatting would show up in masto's view, you'd have to "Open original page" to see it

Follow

@clayote @plastics by default i believe it posts a preview snippet and a link to the original, tho usually i just follow people via RSS instead so

there’s also write.as which has native activitypub integration
