@Lotl_Love this list is a great start! a few more fediquette tips:

- “are boosts ok?” is a very normal question on fedi — don’t be afraid to ask if you’re not sure!
- public posts go to the public timelines (local and federated) & show up in hashtags while unlisted posts do not. This seems like a small difference but it has a lot of potential uses! eg. for long threads many people set their first post to public and the rest to unlisted, esp if they’re on a smaller instance where the local tl runs slowly. or if you want to write a post reccomending people use the hashtag, setting that post to unlisted will keep it from clogging the tag with posts that aren’t *actual* introductions (also, if you haven’t already, use the introduction tag!)
- check peoples profiles & pinned posts before following, some people have boundaries set in there for follows that you should respect. its v normal for newcomers, esp during big migration waves like this, to want to follow as many people as possible to build their social networks. that is a good impulse! but it shouldn’t get in the way of respecting people who are just trying to quietly live their lives on fedi
