@ljwrites @rabbithearth I use chopsticks a lot, to the absolute bafflement of my previous (Indian) roommate who seemed convinced that they were an innate & unlearnable skill. Though I still haven’t mastered the skill of picking up rice with my hands so I figured I couldn’t judge too much haha

@Satsuma @rabbithearth oh yeah, I remember having forks brought to a table for Indian tablemates. East and South Asians could do a skill exchange teaching each other to use chopsticks and fingers.

@Satsuma @rabbithearth yeah a fork is good for spearing food that's hard to pick up (like big sausages), otherwise I prefer chopsticks for most uses.
