what i really want is a browser app that replicates having a vertical weekly planner with my to-do list for each day
google calendar+tasks in weekly view comes closest but isn't really the same and actually kind of sucks
and none of them can really handle the idea that if i have a task that repeats daily and i don't check it off for wednesday it's dead and gone and we're on thursday now
@KittyUnpretty habitica.com recurring tasks work that way - but then you're also dealing with the whole RPG nature of it. At the start of the day it'll prompt you to mark off any of the previous day's tasks you haven't already, but then you go right on with the day and start fresh.
@edebill i used to use it back when it was habitrpg! but i kept running into problems with streaks because i would forget to check in for a day and lose my streak even though i'd done the thing. so it was like, the opposite problem, hahaha. maybe i'll take a look if the prompt thing deals with that
@KittyUnpretty @edebill yeah this is a new(er) change -- basically what they do is delay the day start until you've cleared the 'check off tasks from yesterday' popup so streaks and everything work fine
