re: cnpol question

@akjcv mmMMM not sure who would be the one to make that, honestly

people living and working in China and with Chinese people are going to prioritize continuing being able to do that over writing critiques for a national or international audience

people not living or working in China are happy to write those critiques, but do not have a Chinese perspective

this is overstated. but the last thing anyone trying to successfully accomplish anything in China wants to do is embarrass the country on an international stage, and you have to understand there are people at the New York Times just WAITING for this kind of report so that they can spin it in exactly that way. if i were a smart LGBT org in China, i would not want to hand that to them?

re: cnpol question

@akjcv take all of this with a grain of salt ofc ofc it’s just been my experience as a Westerner while trying to learn about China
