The Washington Secretary of State has announced something like 50 libraries across the state will be getting library box sets of D&D and "many" will also receive a $2k stipend for other tabletop games and materials
Now, on one hand: fuck Hasbro, they don't deserve this kind of state money especially right now
But on the other hand: we love to see libraries getting love and we love to see TTRPGs getting introduced to new audiences
Ultimately I think this is still a net win but I do hope at least some of the libraries will buy some other games too

@coriander honestly being able to check out a DnD book when necessary while saving money to spend on indie downstreams which use the system seems pretty good
