Honestly you don't realize how old you are until you're talking to pretty recent high school grads and hearing their experiences of Pokemon in elementary school
It's like, yeah, obviously PKMN is still fucking huge, it's arguably the biggest it's ever been
But kids who were in first grade 10 years later than I was interfaced with it SO DIFFERENTLY
