FediAdmin question

#FediAdmin #MastoAdmin #FediBlockMeta

Mine is a single user Mastodon instance. Given that I donʼt follow anyone who shares shitty content (but even if i do, i try my best not to fave/boost it), should i actively block domains other admins advertise as harassers? In other words, is there a way iʼd be a signal booster for such accounts and domains?

@gergely the concern is more in the other direction: will you be signal-boosting good posts to shitty instances? you don't have to care TOO much about who you federate with, but you do want to at least keep an eye on who follows you.

the primary way you would be likely to signal-boost bad posts is through replies (assuming they aren't DMs), which will federate the original post alongside the reply to all of your followers.
