feel kind of bad
the holidays have been very social so it’s not for lack of interaction, but i’ve also spent nearly the entire time surrounded by straight people so that could be a factor

@Lady sorry to hear it. we fortunately live far enough away from family that we have valid excuses to avoid the long-time-surrounded-by-straight-people dynamic which i also find very draining.
@jdp23 i’m not on bad terms with family but i wish i could balance it more with people who belong to my community a little better
unfortunately due to my current living situation, all of those people are currently very remote
@Lady same for us with our families -- we're on good terms (well with a few exceptions who usually aren't there at gatherings) but it's still enervating being around large numbers of them for extended periods of time.
a lot of people on this website would tag this with ‹ mh (−) › but my mental health is fine actually, i just feel kind of bad is all
