look i’m not saying that literature is boringly straight and male, i’m just saying that as a lesbian who reads large amounts of speculative fiction on the reg, including some gay shit, i’ve yet to read anything contemporary outside of fanfic which has even remotely turned me on
there’s plenty of #lesbian content but like zero actually lesbian content these days
we don’t shoot video like straight people and we oughtn’t write like them either
@Lady i am boring straight and male and i haven't either. but i don't think that's an important element of it. i don't remember a lot of non-contemporary sf that turned me on either. maybe i read the wrong stuff
there was one which was pretty solidly lesbian in its aesthetic but then it reminded me of my ex and that kind of killed the mood
