went to see what version of mastodon another federated server was running, so I just typed their base domain name into my location bar.
a message greets me at the top of the column of posts displayed on their landing page:
These posts from this and other servers in the decentralized network are gaining traction on this server right now.

@djsundog are there really any gains beyond security that would prompt a desire to use the new code?
@kemonine "edit toot" is going to be a big draw, but aside from that I feel like the antifeatures outweigh the features by a fair bit.
