@witchfynder_finder i remember the first book i read by myself was green eggs and ham but my parents tell me i was reading plenty of like, early reader material before that so evidently i just decided that those didn't count

there definitely wasn't any ceremony i just did it on my own in the library so i was obviously like, a fairly competent reader at that point
@Lady That makes sense, it's a different kind of "by yourself" that I can see making a big difference to a small child
