people really like to ask "what do we do about this? this seems unactionable" about announcements that are left intentionally unactionable. like you just have to accept when it's not about you, it's easy

like i will admit that i'm looking up rust stuff because 👀 drama but like

"the mod team is resigning, the core team can contact us for more information" is so clearly a way of saying "not about you don't worry about it"

@monorail i think it’s actually the other rust teams, not the core team, who they want action from but yeah if you are not a part of rust then you’re not a part of rust; chill

@monorail yeah as i understand it, it’s “hey [other Rust teams], the Core Team isn’t accountable the way all of you are! you should probably talk about changing that but we’d rather not comment on past abuses.”

it’s still something to be settled internally; it’s not something someone completely uninvolved in Rust development is going to be able to influence or control
