There are some actually incredibly interesting conversations to be had around the Lord of the Rings movies and how we approach the theatrical vs the extended cuts and the merits which both exhibit but unfortunately Internet Nerds have made it so that if you say anything other than "The extended cuts are the only true way to experience these movies" you just get called a heretic

@witchfynder_finder i have lots of opinions about the lord of the rings movies and still haven’t seen the extended cuts tbh

@witchfynder_finder i’ve listened to the extended soundtracks though

but i wouldn’t say that they’re necessarily better than the ordinary soundtracks, each has its own strengths

@Lady That's basically the truth about both of these movies as a whole, nobody wants to admit it is all =P

@witchfynder_finder honestly i wish more things did multiple cuts like sometimes you want to dive really deep into things and sometimes you want a nice story which is easy to wrap your head around

@Lady Yeah, like, sometimes I want to get lost in this amazing cinematic world PJacks has created and sometimes I want the story to please pick up the pace just a little bit

@Lady It's a shame that most movies that come out with multiple cuts are just for different ratings and don't really endeavour to change the structure or add depth

@Lady Blade Runner is like "We made a good movie and we know it's in here SOMEWHERE but we gotta find it, please hold"
